Clipe de "Fernet com Coca", do grupo gaúcho Quarteto Fronteira O sucesso da música "Fernet com Coca", do grupo bageense Quarteto Fronteira, tornou-se o principal motor por trás da disparada no consumo e na venda do fernet com Coca-Cola — bebida tradicionalmente argentina e uruguaia — em CTGs, bares e rodeios do RS. A música foi lançada em setembro de 2025 e logo caiu no gosto do público. Em dezembro, o cantor uruguaio Lucas Sugo, que acumula 3 milhões de seguidores nas redes sociais (número considerável, uma vez que país vizinho tem 38 vezes menos habitantes que o Brasil), lançou um clipe com a regravação do sucesso. O vocalista do quarteto gaúcho participa do vídeo. “Logo que lançamos, ele me ligou. Ele estava em turnê no Chile e depois viajaria para os Estados Unidos. Nesse meio tempo, ficou dois dias na fronteira e nós gravamos o clipe”, afirma Chucho. A banda afirma que percebeu o impacto no consumo meses após o lançamento da música. “O pessoal ouviu a música e resolveu experimentar a bebida. Conversando com amigos do Uruguai e com o pessoal do free shop em Rivera, eles contaram que depois da música os estoques não duram nada. Foi incrível o crescimento do consumo”, afirma o cantor. O impacto econômico é validado pelos números do setor varejista em Rivera, no Uruguai. Rafael Antunes, diretor de um free shop local, detalha o salto nas vendas: “De 2024 para 2025, e depois de 2025 para 2026, tivemos um acréscimo de 55% nas unidades vendidas. Estamos falando em quantidade de garrafas, não em valores”, conclui. O freeshop aposta que a bebida estará entre as cinco mais vendidas do próximo verão. Sucesso em bailes Compositor do hit, em parceria com Neco Soares, Giovani Dôdo González e Chucho Missioneiro, o músico Frederico Rangel, da dupla santanense Os Ribeiros, diz que diversos artistas pediram autorização para regravar "Fernet com Coca". E que o sucesso repercutiu até em outros estados. "O Clube Tradição (tradicional casa de bailes gaúchos) lá de Curitiba introduziu o fernet com coca por causa da música", diz. Em Santana do Livramento, o patrão do CTG Fronteira Aberta, Luiz Botino, observa que a adesão foi imediata após a popularização da canção. “Aqui do lado brasileiro muita gente nem conhecia. Hoje não podemos fazer um evento sem ter um freezer cheio, virou uma bebida muito pedida pelo público”, relata. A tendência também é expressiva em Alegrete. Giovane Moraes, radialista e patrão do CTG Farroupilha, aponta que a bebida ganhou espaço nos bailes e confraternizações locais. “Acho que a proposta musical deles casou perfeitamente com a bebida e com essa nova geração dos bailes regionais”, destaca Moraes, acrescentando que a temática da canção combinou com o ritmo escolhido para a melodia, a "cumbia", popular em diversos países das América do Sul e Central. INDIAN PM Narendra Modi’s penchant for not taking questions during interactions with the press did not go down well with journalists in Norway, who wanted to quiz the visiting dignitary. Mr Modi is on a six-day, five-nation tour, and landed in Oslo on Monday to attend the third India-Nordic Summit. According to The Hindustan Times, the episode unfolded at a joint press statement by PM Modi and his Norwegian counterpart Jonas Gahr Støre. As the two leaders were leaving the venue after their briefing, which did not include a Q&A, a voice rang out across the room: “Prime Minister Modi, why don’t you take some questions from the freest press in the world?” The voice belonged to Helle Lyng, a journalist with the local newspaper Dagsavisen, who was part of the media contingent covering the visit. “Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to,” she subsequently posted on X. She later also attended the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) briefing on PM Modi’s Norway visit later, where she pressed MEA officials on the prime minister not taking questions. “Why should we trust you,” she asked, adding, “Can you promise you will stop the human rights violation that goes on in your country?” While the journalist sought a “straight answer”, MEA’s Sibi George said: “If anyone whose rights are violated, they have the right to go to court.
