Indian benchmark indices witnessed a volatile session on Friday, June 5 and closed marginally lower as investors reacted to the RBI monetary policy outcome and continued FII selling. The central bank kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% and maintained its neutral policy stance, while raising its inflation forecast and lowering GDP growth projections, which kept market sentiment cautious throughout the session.Here's how analysts read the market pulse:"While the broader index trend remains weak, mixed performance among heavyweight stocks is limiting the pace of decline. In this backdrop, we maintain a cautious stance and prefer a sell-on-rise approach until the Nifty decisively reclaims the 23,700 level. Superbactéria crítica para a OMS é encontrada pela 1ª vez em alimento no Brasil Adobe Stock Em agosto de 2025, pesquisadores da USP e do Instituto de Pesca de São Paulo publicaram estudo sobre a descoberta que deveria estar em todo noticiário de saúde pública: a bactéria Citrobacter telavivensis foi identificada pela primeira vez em alimentos no Brasil. Esta bactéria é classificada pela Organização Mundial da Saúde como de prioridade crítica em resistência a antibióticos. O alimento em questão eram ostras frescas, compradas em mercados de São Paulo e Santa Catarina. Nenhuma das amostras teria sido reprovada nos testes de inspeção sanitária vigentes. Uma ameaça que cresce silenciosamente A resistência antimicrobiana é reconhecida pela Organização Mundial da Saúde como uma das dez maiores ameaças à saúde global. Em outubro de 2025, o relatório GLASS da OMS revelou que uma em cada seis infecções bacterianas registradas entre 2018 e 2023 já apresentava resistência a antibióticos — um aumento de mais de 40% no período. Em maio de 2025, a Assembleia Mundial de Saúde aprovou um novo Plano Global de Ação para 2026–2036, em reconhecimento de que, sem intervenção, as superbactérias podem matar até 39 milhões de pessoas por ano até 2050. Esse número supera as projeções atuais de mortalidade por câncer. Agora no g1 O problema, porém, ainda é narrado quase exclusivamente como uma questão hospitalar. O que os dados de 2025 reforçam é que elas chegaram à cadeia alimentar — e que a fiscalização sanitária brasileira ainda não acompanhou essa mudança. Por que a ostra é um espelho do mar? Ostras são animais filtradores. Elas bombeiam água continuamente para se alimentar e retêm na microbiota tudo o que circula no ambiente onde crescem: vírus, metais pesados, resíduos de medicamentos e bactérias. Por isso, funcionam como sentinelas ambientais. O que está na água, está nelas. No estudo de 2025, as amostras continham não apenas a Citrobacter telavivensis — registrada pela primeira vez em um hospital israelense em 2010 — mas também cepas de Klebsiella pneumoniae e Escherichia coli resistentes a antibióticos de última geração. Além disso, 35% das amostras apresentaram concentrações de arsênio acima do limite máximo permitido pela Anvisa. Os pesquisadores identificaram um fenômeno chamado co-seleção: o arsênio e os resíduos de antibióticos presentes na água selecionam, ao mesmo tempo, bactérias tolerantes aos dois. O ambiente poluído age como uma estufa de resistência. O protocolo que não foi feito para isso Quando um peixe ou um molusco chega a uma planta de processamento no Brasil, ele é avaliado por sistemas reconhecidos internacionalmente — HACCP, APPCC, Boas Práticas de Fabricação. Esses sistemas verificam temperatura, higiene, presença de microrganismos totais, ausência de patógenos específicos como Salmonella e Listeria. O que eles não verificam é o perfil de resistência antimicrobiana das bactérias encontradas. Um lote de peixe pode conter o Staphylococcus aureus resistente à meticilina, uma das superbactérias mais perigosas conhecidas — e ainda assim ser liberado para consumo se o número total de microrganismos estiver dentro da norma. Há uma razão técnica para isso: os protocolos foram desenhados antes de a resistência antimicrobiana se tornar um problema de escala na cadeia alimentar. Eles ainda estão atualizados para o problema de ontem. Bactéria 'disfarçada' pode ainda ser confundida em exames mesmo depois de surto que matou 15 bebês Biofilme: o escudo invisível das superbactérias Há um fator que torna o cenário ainda mais complexo. Bactérias como o Staphylococcus aureus resistente à meticilina não circulam apenas nos alimentos — elas colonizam equipamentos, bancadas e tubulações das próprias plantas de processamento. E fazem isso formando estruturas chamadas biofilmes. Um biofilme é uma comunidade bacteriana encapsulada em uma matriz protetora. Dentro dele, as bactérias são entre cem e mil vezes mais resistentes a antibióticos do que quando estão isoladas — e mais resistentes aos sanitizantes químicos usados nos processos de higiene industrial. Em pesquisa publicada em 2023 no periódico Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, juntamente com a equipe da professora Fernanda Sampaio Cavalcante (UFRJ-Macaé) demonstramos que uma enzima produzida naturalmente pela bactéria Staphylococcus lugdunensis — a lugdulisina — é capaz de inibir a formação de biofilmes do Staphylococcus aureus resistente à meticilina e destruir biofilmes já estabelecidos em laboratório. A lugdulisina é uma metaloprotease: ela degrada a matriz proteica que sustenta a estrutura do biofilme, desprotegendo as bactérias e tornando-as vulneráveis novamente. Até o momento trata-se de um resultado experimental, mas que aponta para uma direção perseguida por pesquisadores do mundo inteiro: agentes anti-biofilme de origem biológica como alternativa ou complemento aos sanitizantes químicos. O que falta fazer? O problema não tem solução única. Ele começa no uso de antibióticos na aquicultura e na pecuária. Mais de 75% dos antibióticos produzidos no mundo vão para animais. E atravessam o saneamento básico, o descarte de medicamentos, a fiscalização ambiental e os protocolos industriais. No Brasil, o Ministério da Agricultura implementou em 2023 a segunda etapa do Plano de Ação Nacional de Prevenção e Controle da Resistência aos Antimicrobianos no âmbito Agropecuário. O programa monitora Salmonella em aves, suínos e bovinos. Pescado (moluscos e peixes), no entanto, ainda não estão cobertos. Três mudanças são urgentes. A vigilância de resistência antimicrobiana precisa incluir o pescado. Os protocolos de qualidade alimentar precisam ser atualizados para contemplar rastreabilidade de origem e teste de perfil de resistência. E o financiamento para pesquisa de alternativas biotecnológicas — como enzimas anti-biofilme — precisa acompanhar a velocidade com que as bactérias evoluem. A superbactéria não tem preferência por hospital. Ela vai aonde a pressão seletiva a leva. E nos últimos anos, essa pressão foi para o mar. A presença de superbactérias em alimentos não apenas ameaça a saúde pública, mas também pode comprometer exportações brasileiras de pescado, já que mercados internacionais — especialmente União Europeia e Estados Unidos — exigem padrões rigorosos de controle de resistência antimicrobiana. Isso significa que, além do risco sanitário interno, há um risco direto para a competitividade do setor pesqueiro e para a economia nacional. **Este texto foi publicado originalmente no site do The Conversation Brasil.
