The sites stand as enduring symbols of the Gandharan civilization and reflect the region’s pivotal role in the spread of Buddhism across South and Central Asia. Officials informed the delegation about ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the archaeological heritage of Taxila, which continues to attract scholars, researchers and tourists from around the world. The visit underscored the growing importance of safeguarding Pakistan’s cultural heritage and enhancing international cooperation for the conservation of historical landmarks that embody the country’s diverse civilisational legacy.
