Local Election Turnout Reaches 48.9% at 2 p.m., Up 8.2% from Previous Election

Voter turnout in South Korea’s ninth nationwide local elections reached 48-point-nine percent as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the National Election Commission, the figure, which includes ballots cast during the two-day early voting period, represents 21-point-83 million voters.
