Poll: Most Swedish voters think the opposition will win the election

A majority of Swedish voters think the opposition will win the election this September, according to a new survey from polling firm Indikator done on behalf of Swedish Radio News.

55% of respondents said they thought the opposition parties would get the most votes, with 45% saying they think the governing parties and the Sweden Democrats will remain in power.

Henrik Ekengren Oskarsson, professor of political science at the University of Gothenburg, says these types of polls often predict the election result better than ordinary surveys that ask voters who they themselves would vote for. ...
