Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Advances Regenerative Agriculture and Strengthens American Farm Resilience

ACCELERATING INNOVATION IN AMERICA’S FOOD SUPPLY: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to accelerate American agriculture modernization, empowering farmers and ranchers and bolstering the strength and security of our food supply.

The Order directs the Secretary of Agriculture to expand the reach of the Department of Agriculture’s Regenerative Agriculture Pilot Program, broadly share results with stakeholders, and create public-private partnerships in order to increase capacity for farmers interested in adopting regenerative farming practices.

The Order directs the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to prioritize registration of alternative crop protection tools and review data on pre-harvest desiccation uses to ensure alignment with safety and labeling standards.

The Order directs the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to develop research methodologies and frameworks to advance our scientific understanding of the effect of cumulative exposure across chemical classes that are regulated by statute in the food supply.

The Order directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to identify creative solutions that evaluate exposure, diagnosis, and treatments of cumulative chemical exposures on individual health and prioritize research of new, innovative, and cost-effective alternatives to historic crop protection tools. 

STRENGTHENING FOOD SECURITY AND PRODUCTION: President Trump is empowering America’s farmers and ranchers to ensure the Nation’s food supply is the healthiest, most abundant, and most affordable in the world.

American farmers and ranchers are increasingly interested in adopting innovative conservation farming practices like regenerative agriculture that strengthen soil health, lower input costs, and improve chemical efficiency to reduce overall use, among other benefits that strengthen farm resilience. 

The Order further advances ongoing Administration work to implement precision agriculture solutions in programs in ways that keep decision-making local and practical while avoiding burdensome mandates.

President Trump and his Administration are ensuring that American farmers and ranchers have unhindered access to new cost-effective technologies that increase production capacity and bolster the Nation’s long-term food supply.

President Trump is equipping America’s farmers and ranchers with new tools to more easily and efficiently feed the Nation and strengthen rural economies.

MAKING AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN: President Trump is executing on his promise to transform the status quo to ensure that all Americans live longer, healthier lives, supported by systems that prioritize prevention, well-being, and resilience.

In February 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order establishing the President’s Make America Healthy Again Commission.

In May 2025, the Make America Healthy Again Commission released its Make Our Children Healthy Again Assessment and in September 2025, released its Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy.

Earlier this year, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Agriculture, and the Environmental Protection Agency made a historic investment of over $1 billion to accelerate farm modernization and long-term food supply security.
