Exclusive: House Republicans outraise Democrats in June

The House Republicans' campaign arm brought in $17.6 million in June, leaving them with $92.7 million in cash on hand, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: The National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee is entering the final midterm stretch with a cash advantage over House Democrats, giving GOP leaders another talking point as they try to defy the historical trend that typically favors the party out of power.

The NRCC outraised its counterpart, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, by $1.2 million in June.

That brought the NRCC's cash on hand to $92.7 million, versus $79 million for the DCCC.

Yes, but: The DCCC outraised the NRCC in the full second quarter of 2026, bringing in $37.4 million, compared to $35.4 million for NRCC.

What they're saying: "Republicans are building a campaign machine to win. Democrats are still holding clown show socialist auditions for who gets to lose in November," NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella told Axios in a statement.

DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene said in a statement Monday that the group's "strong quarter of fundraising combined with the incredible results of our Frontliners and challengers show that across the battlefield, Democrats are assembling people-powered campaigns ready to win in November and make Hakeem Jeffries the next speaker of the House."

Zoom in: The NRCC's fundraising edge hasn't translated to individual candidates.

Twenty-five GOP incumbents — and Rep. Kevin Kiley (I-Calif.) — were outraised by a Democratic challenger in the second quarter of 2026, according to Punchbowl News.

Zoom out: The Supreme Court's ruling last month allowing unlimited coordinated spending between national party committees and candidates supercharges the NRCC's fundraising advantage.
