80th anniversary of the Vespa: President Meloni receives the Executive Chairman and CEO of Piaggio Group

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received Piaggio Group’s Executive Chairman, Matteo Colaninno, and Chief Executive Officer, Michele Colaninno, at Palazzo Chigi this morning, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vespa patent and production launch. Three historic models dating back to 1949, 1964 and 1976 were displayed in Palazzo Chigi’s Galleon Room, together with more modern vehicles. The models, in different colours, were arranged to represent the Italian flag.
