Sweden's prison service told to improve staff support after suicide incidents

Employees of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service have had to deal with 600 cases where inmates self-harmed, attempted suicide or committed suicide since January last year.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority say these incidents can put employees under significant psychological pressure, and it's now demanding the prison service improve its routines.
