Swedish citizenship: Rejections far outnumber approvals in first month with tougher rules

June was the first month under Sweden's stricter citizenship eligibility rules, which came into force on Sweden's national day, June 6.

And according to the latest figures from the Migration Agency, the number of rejections in June dwarfed the number of approvals.
