European Commission Statement Brussels, 13 Jul 2026 I want to thank you and all the members of the Special Panel, for your hard work in the recent months and your skilful steer.

It is the evidence we have been waiting for, which you are delivering today.

The Panel examined what I believe is one of the greatest challenges confronting today's governments – how to protect our kids online, how we establish a new norm in the future online world.
