NRRP steering committee meeting

A steering committee meeting for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) was held at Palazzo Chigi today, chaired by the Minister for European Affairs, the NRRP and Cohesion Policy, Tommaso Foti, and attended by the Ministers and Undersecretaries in charge as well as by representatives from ANCI [National Association of Italian Municipalities], UPI [Union of Italian Provinces], and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.

The meeting examined and approved the latest proposal to revise the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, with the aim of ensuring full achievement of the milestones and targets agreed with the European Commission by the set deadlines.

The approved revision is mainly technical in nature and is aimed at strengthening the Plan’s overall effectiveness during the final stage of its implementation. The proposed measures seek to overcome a number of critical issues that have emerged during the roll-out of projects, to simplify the procedures necessary to complete investments, and to reduce administrative and bureaucratic burdens, fostering a more efficient management of monitoring and final reporting activities.
