Japan Confirms Kumamoto Quake Death Toll Rises to 28

The death toll from the Kumamoto earthquake has risen to 28, which includes cases still under investigation for disaster-related causes.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara gave the update on the latest figure, as of 6:30 a.m. local time, during a press conference Thursday.
