DICJ, casinos discuss measures to curb illegal phone betting

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) met with representatives of the city’s six casino operators on July 14 to discuss measures against illegal telephone betting. The meeting covered surveillance measures, reporting mechanisms and staff training. The regulator said advances in technology have made illegal betting methods more discreet, posing new challenges for casino management. The DICJ said it will continue cooperating with the Judiciary Police and operators to strengthen prevention and enforcement efforts.
