MFF negotiations: press conference with lead MEPs on Tuesday at 15.30 Parliament’s co-rapporteurs for the multiannual financial framework (MFF) will brief journalists on their reaction to the Council’s recently-released draft negotiating position. The press conference with Parliament’s co-rapporteurs Siegfried Mureşan (EPP, Romania) and Carla Tavares (S&D, Portugal) comes after the Cyprus presidency presented the Council’s negotiating box for the Commission’s proposal for the 2028-2034 EU long-term budget on 11 June and EU ministers are discussing it on Tuesday, 16 June at the General Affairs Council. When: Tuesday 16 June 2026, 15.30 CET Where: European Parliament in Strasbourg, Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room (WEISS N -1/201) and via webstreaming. Journalists can also attend and ask questions via Interactio. Interpretation will be provided in English, French, German, Romanian, and Portuguese.
