The Explanatory Memorandum to the Directions made under section 15(5) and (6) of the Local Government Act 1999 in respect of Woking Borough Council. It summarises the circumstances in which the Secretary of State has made changes to the Commissioner Team, announced on 15 July 2026.
This Memorandum is intended as a companion document to the Directions issued on 25 May 2023 and the updated Memorandum issued on 13 December 2023.
