India Boosts U.S. LPG Imports to Record High

Despite higher prices, India is set to import the biggest ever volumes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from the United States in June as it seeks to replace still-constrained supply from the Middle East.

India is estimated to receive between 1.1 million and 1.2 million tons of America’s LPG this month, Indian refining sources told Reuters on Tuesday.

These would be a record high, and nearly double the 648,300 tons of LPG from the U.S. imported in May, as per Kpler data cited by Reuters.
