[카이로(이집트)=AP/뉴시스] 김재영 기자 = 이란전쟁 종전협상 중재국들이 미국과 이란을 협상 테이블로 다시 끌어내 전면전 재발을 막는 노력에서 진전을 거뒀다고 27일 중동 지역 관리 2명이 말했다.

미군의 심야 및 새벽 공격과 이에 대한 이란의 인근 아랍국 낮 보복공격이 25일(토)부터 27일까지 연속 사흘 중단된 가운데 들리는 소식으로 주목된다.

익명을 조건으로 소식을 전한 이 관리들에 따르면 카타르와 파키스탄 등 중재국은 미국과 이란 사이에 노출된 갭을 연결하는 다리를 놓아 잠정 종전합의의 틀로 복귀시키는 노력을 경주하고 있다.

이 관리들 중 한 명은 이날 AP 통신에 중재국들의 노력으로 인한 진전이 '상당하다'고 평했다. 특히 중재국들이 이란 및 오만과 함께 선박의 호르무즈 해협 통과 메카니즘을 강구하고 있다는 것이다.
