Friday's meeting between Israeli and Lebanese military officials was the first in decades. The Pentagon's second-in-command said on X that the 'productive military-to-military discussions' will 'inform the Department of State-led political track next week' and added that the US 'anticipates reconvening soon to continue the security track.'
The list is published annually by the United Nations, and includes dozens of state and non-state groups credibly suspected of engaging in systematic sexual violence. Last August, Israel and Russia had been warned of their possible inclusion on the list, but the new UN report states that 'incidents and patterns of sexual violence continued to be documented.'
