"Unfortunately, President Zelensky has shown that Ukraine is not ready to be part of the European family," said President Nawrocki.
"The challenges Europe now faces demand an even stronger partnership," said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"Transatlantic relations are not just [about] a Polish-US relationship," said Poland's defence minister Wลadysลaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.
He said that the decision was made based on the relationship with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
It said that the "absurd" referendum was intended to "destabilise the country and polarise society".
Magyar said that his government can "learn from Poland" on restoring the rule of law, recovering frozen EU funds, and fighting corruption.
