"이 사진 프로젝트를 진행하며 저는 여러 나라에서 온 12명의 놀라운 여성 지도자들을 만날 기회를 얻었다. 이들은 사랑하는 이나 보금자리를 잃고 가정 폭력이나 전쟁의 참상을 겪는 등 감내하기 힘든 트라우마를 겪었음에도 불구하고, 인도주의 활동및 지역 사회를 위한 사명을 묵묵히 이어가고 있다. 이 프로젝트의 주인공들은 자국의 주권 수호, 교육 인프라 재건, 심리적 지원 제공 뿐만 아니라, 난민과 아동을 위한 보호소 마련에도 앞장서고 있다. 또한 다큐멘터리 연출을 비롯한 예술 창작, 장애인의 권리를 옹호하는 활동을 펼치기도 한다. 어머니, 인권 운동가, 군 복무도 아우르는 이들의 다층적인 삶의 면모는 제게도 강력한 동기 부여와 영감을 주었다." 5월 27일 (현지 시각), 올하 이바슈첸코(Olga Ivashchenko)는 유럽연합의 심장 벨기에의 브뤼셀에서 열리고 있는 "여성성의 다양한 얼굴들 (The Many Faces of Womanhood)" 사진전에 참여한 소회를 필자에게 전해왔다. 우크라이나 출신의 사진기자인 그는 2014년 돈바스 분쟁 초기부터 2022년 러시아의 전면 침공에 이르기까지 우크라이나 최전선에서 취재해 왔고 그녀의 작품은 , 을 비롯한 주요 국제 언론에 소개되었고 국제앰네스티, 유엔과 같은 국제기관들과 긴밀히 협력해왔다. 올하 이바슈첸코 사진기자가 언급한 12명의 놀라운 여성 지도자들은 동유럽 분쟁지역 4개국 아르메니아, 우크라이나, 몰도바, 조지아 출신이다. 5월 8일부터 6월 14일까지 브뤼셀의 유서 깊은 몽데자르' (Mont des Arts) 공원에서 열리는 이 "여성성의 다양한 얼굴들" 사진전에서는 자국에서 각각 다양한 직업과 역할을 맡고 있는 이들의 내밀한 삶과 사회활동을 사진과 글로 소개하고 있다. 이번 전시는 유럽연합성평등 프로그램(EU 4 Gender Equality: 성 고정관념과 성폭력 근절을 위한 연대)의 일환으로 2020년부터 유엔여성기구(UN Women)와 유엔인구기금(UNFPA)와 공동추진해 왔다. 전시회 웹사이트를 통해 밝힌 이 프로그램의 취지는 "가정, 직장, 그리고 공적 영역에서 여성과 남성에게 요구되는 역할에 영향을 주는 신념, 규범, 관행들을 고찰하고, 이러한 기대가 어떻게 기회를 제한하고 불평등을 심화시키며 폭력을 조장할 수 있는지를 들여다보는 것"이다. 아르메니아에서는 마리암 무그두샨(예술가, 사회적 기업가), 자루히 바토얀(국회의원, 장애인 권리 옹호자), 로라 아가자니안(세계교회협의회(WCC) 아르메니아 교회 간 자선 원탁 재단 프로그램 담당관)이 소개되었다. 조지아에서는 마도나 오크로피리제(지역사회 지도자, 실향민), 리아 우클레바(페미니스트 화가), 마리 바라마슈빌리(변호사)가 초청되었다. 몰도바에서는 이리나 레빈(장애인 권리 옹호자, 시민사회 지도자), 이리나 링가치(자유형 레슬링 세계 챔피언), 디아나 구추 잠피르(폭력 피해 생존자, 교육자 겸 기업가)의 사진과 이야기를 전했다. 참고로 몰도바의 트란스니스트리아에서는 1992년 (3월-7월) 친러 분리주의자들과의 무력충돌이 벌어지기도 했는데 몰도바의 중앙정부는 이 무력충돌 이후 트란스니스트리아 지역을 실효 지배하지 못하고 있고 러시아군이 주둔해 있는 상황이다. 이로 인해 여전히 잠재적 군사충돌의 불씨가 남아있다. 아울러 러시아 푸틴 정권은 2008년 8월 조지아를 침공했다. Daming Tongxing Baochao

The Daming Tongxing Baochao is a paper note that was circulated in Ming China during the fourteenth century, and is known to have been the world's largest banknote. Issued during the Hongwu period (1328 – 1398), this particular banknote contains the inscription “Daming Tongxing Baochao” (大明通行寶鈔) written in regular script at the top of its front face, and eight characters, “Daming Baochao Tianxia Tongxing” (大明寶鈔天下通行) written in seal script on the upper part of both faces. The center of the note shows the denomination of 1 gwan, with a design of ten bunches of coins placed directly beneath it to help illiterate users understand the function and value of the note. The lower part of the note contains a warning to the effect that anyone who forged this note would be subject to severe punishment.
