Shinnosuke Abe resigned from his position Tuesday following his arrest on suspicion of physically assaulting his daughter.
"I have caused great trouble to many baseball fans, pro baseball officials and the company through my family troubles," Shinnosuke Abe said.
Abe, 47, who was apprehended at his home, admitted to the allegation against him.
Kenji Oyama, 42, emerged as a suspect based on forensic analysis and security camera footage from around the scene.
