Shares of Ashok Leyland fell 2% to their dayโs low of Rs 160.75 on the BSE on Friday despite reporting a consolidated net profit of nearly Rs 1,291 crore for the January-March quarter of the financial year 2026, marking a 14% year-on-year (YoY) rise from the Rs 1,130 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.The firmโs revenue from operations, meanwhile, grew more than 17% YoY to Rs 17,246 crore during the quarter under review, as against Rs 14,695 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses increased over 18% YoY to Rs 15,493 crore, while total income rose over 17% YoY to Rs 17,417 crore during the fourth quarter of the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
