Amid rains, escape routes vanished and the cave became a doomed trap
The Thailand Rescue Diver Facebook page also posted that "rescue officials were able to bring out four more people trapped" at about 3:10 pm (0810 GMT) on Saturday.
The villagers had reportedly entered the cave last week to look for valuable minerals.
Laos cave update: Multiple emergency vehicles, including ambulances, are on a temporary access road to the cave where five villagers are trapped. Heavy machinery is being transported to aid the rescue efforts involving police and firefighters.
Providing people in fringe areas with an alternative source of livelihood facilitates the conservation of Laokhowa-Burhachapori Wildlife Sanctuary
