The explosive private texts obtained by Daily Mail, show Freeman furiously claimed he had been 'set up' after his arrest in 2021.
Freeman was shot dead at a remote property in Thologolong, near the Victorian-NSW border on March 30 after a months-long update.
Police say the pair will be questioned in relation to the fugitive who was shot dead in March.
