GUANGZHOU, May 31--The Chinese Peoples Liberation ArmyNavy hospital ship, Silk Road Ark, departed from a military port in Zhanjiang, south Chinas Guangdong Province.
The People's Liberation Army has carried out combat-readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace around China's Huangyan Island as well as surrounding areas in the South China Sea.
A Chinese military spokesperson said on Wednesday that the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command expelled a Dutch navy frigate from waters near the Xisha Islands in the South China Sea.
The Peopleโs Liberation Army has sent 10 of its female members to join the garrison guarding the Nansha Islands in the South China Sea, according to the PLA Navy.
