MORONG, Bataan — The Municipal Council of this town approved a Non-Nuclear Zone Ordinance that prohibits the construction, operation, and storage of nuclear power facilities and radioactive materials within the municipality.

The measure was passed on Monday in the town that hosts the 620-megawatt mothballed Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.
