Trump: US will hit rumoured Iranian nuclear site ‘soon’
Trump told reporters on Tuesday that the US will be hitting the area where Iran’s nuclear centrifuges are rumoured to be “very heavily” in the near future, without clarifying when.
“Probably pretty soon, and there’s not a thing they can do about it,” he said following a meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the White House.
Pickaxe Mountain is said to be the site where Iran’s nuclear programme was moved to, located near Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment facility in the south of Tehran.
The area is heavily fortified and contains two deeply buried tunnel complexes which experts suggest would be very difficult to destroy.
