India is bolstering its air defence with the Defence Acquisition Council's approval for new weapon systems.

The Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MR-SAM), Very Short Range Air Defence System (V-SHORADS), and Akash Tarang Anti-UAV Electronic Warfare System will enhance protection against drones, missiles, and aircraft.
