Mid-term population census to target 26,000 households

The authorities have announced that this year’s mid-term population census will take place over a three-week period starting this Saturday. Notification letters containing detailed information on data collection arrangements will be sent to around 26,000 selected residential units beginning Wednesday. The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) has assured the public that comprehensive measures have been implemented to ensure the operation is carried out safely, orderly, and efficiently, encompassing community security and emergency contingency planning, information technology and system safeguards, anti-fraud campaigns, support for elderly and special-needs respondents, and coordination with building management bodies and residents’ associations.
