PBA: Newsome says postgame talk with refs just for 'clarification'

MANILA, Philippines—Meralco guard Chris Newsome is rarely one to lose his composure, even after a loss. But following the Bolts’ 98-97 defeat to Phoenix in Group B of the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup, Newsome was seen approaching the officials near the dugout after the final buzzer. The Gilas Pilipinas guard, however, said he wasn’t arguing with the referees but was simply seeking clarification on several calls late in the game.
