France battles escalating wildfire crisis

Massive wildfires in Spain's Guadalajara region and southern France have burned over 35,000 hectares combined, triggering evacuations of more than 10,000 people and deploying 1,100+ firefighters. The crisis occurs during severe heat and drought conditions, with strong Mistral winds threatening to accelerate the French blazes.
Following intense wildfires earlier this week, authorities have ordered evacuations across the villages of Lège-Cap-Ferret, with more than 20,000 people already forced to flee.
The situation remains critical, as at least 4,800 hectares have been consumed by the flames.
