Norwegian fire raises concerns over fire safety in Swedish homes

Over one hundred homes burnt down and four hundred people were evacuated when large parts of a residential area in Drammen, near Oslo in Norway, went up in flames last week.
The incident has meant that people living in similar residential areas in Sweden are looking over their own fire safety. Many of the houses in Drammen were townhouses and built in rows, or terraces.
Krusboda in Tyresö, south of Stockholm, is one of Sweden’s largest terraced housing areas, with more than 1,500 homes built around the same time as the houses in Drammen. Riitta and Åke had their home completely destroyed in a fire there roughly ten years ago. ...
