Transport links to increase between HK and Fujian: CE

Chief Executive John Lee on Tuesday said transport links between Hong Kong and Fujian would be boosted through more flights and high-speed rail services, as the two governments reached an agreement to expand cultural and tourism exchanges.
Lee is leading a delegation to a high-level meeting of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Hong Kong-Fujian Co-operation Conference.
In a social media post, Lee said the delegation visited an historic and cultural district in Fuzhou on Monday to learn about heritage conservation and promotion works there.
He said they engaged in discussions with local officials, sharing experiences between the two regions regarding preservation, revitalisation, and the promotion of intangible cultural heritage.
The chief executive will return to the SAR on Wednesday.
