Agusan governor denies assigning lawyers to Baterbonia family

Santiago Cane Jr. has denied claims that he designated lawyers Jimmy Bondoc and Israelito Torreon to represent the family of the late basketball prospect, Rene “Bobet” Baterbonia, saying the lawyers “merely offered” to provide legal assistance should the family decide to pursue legal action.
