Russia’s federal statistics agency denies classifying fuel price data, says changes merely ‘streamline navigation through the indicators’

Russia’s Federal State Statistics Service, Rosstat, denies reports that it has classified data on national gasoline prices.

The agency says changes to its Federal Statistical Work Plan were made to “streamline navigation through the indicators and unify the presentation of information,” and fuel cost data will continue to be released in full on Rosstat’s website and in the Unified Interdepartmental Statistical Information System, “but not in all the formats in which it was previously published.” ...
