Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition
CSDA establishes continuous and repeatable processes to on-ramp commercial data vendors and evaluate their data's potential to advance NASA's Earth science research and applications activities. Once acquired, the program enables the sustained use and dissemination of this purchased data across the broader Earth scientific community. To support scientific reproducibility, CSDA ensures long-term data preservation by maintaining robust data management processes and systems that facilitate rapid evaluation, access, and distribution. Additionally, the program actively coordinates with other U.S. Government agencies and international partners to collaborate on the evaluation and scientific utilization of commercial data.

NASA’s Airborne Data Management Group (ADMG) exists to support NASA’s airborne and field science communities, NASA Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs), and airborne and field data users by advancing access to relevant resources, information, and data. ADMG is responsible for NASA’s Catalog of Archived Suborbital Earth Science Investigations (CASEI). The CASEI inventory is a compilation of contextual metadata important for the discoverability and accessibility to airborne and field campaign data.
