France mourns intellectual 'grandfather', sociologist and philosopher Edgar Morin

France is mourning the loss of Edgar Morin.

The country's favorite intellectual has passed away at the age of 104.

President Emmanuel Macron paid him tribute - calling Morin 'humanism personified' - and offered his loved ones the condolences of the Nation.
