Online taxi platforms could help ease cab shortages and improve passenger access as Macau prepares to add 700 new taxis from 2027, industry representatives said. The additional vehicles, to be introduced through 14 eight-year licenses, are expected to improve taxi availability across districts, while a government-regulated dispatch system could direct vacant cabs to areas with higher demand.
