Kuwaiti air defences are responding to "hostile missile and drone attacks" from Iran, the Gulf country's army indicated.
"Everyone is kindly requested to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities," the statement added.
Elsewhere, Bahrain's interior ministry announced that sirens have been sounded off across the country, urging citizens and residents to "remain calm and head to the nearest safe place".
