Netanyahu to New York Mayor: He and his wife celebrated the October 7 terrorist attack in Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reacted sharply to New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of inciting divisions between communities.
Netanyahu said he will travel to New York for the United Nations General Assembly and stated that he is not worried about the criticism or backlash he may face during his visit.
"Mamdani is inciting hatred. He should be the mayor of all New Yorkers – Jews, Muslims and Christians. He is trying to turn one group against another," he said.

The Israeli prime minister also claimed that the Jewish community in New York feels intimidated and made accusations against Mamdani's family in connection with the October 7 attacks in Israel.
"Zohran Mamdani's wife and family celebrated the October 7 massacre," Netanyahu declared.
These statements come at a time when the political debate in New York has focused on Middle East issues, security, and relations between different communities.
Mamdani, who has been critical of Israeli government policies, has become a controversial figure in American politics, particularly due to his stances on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. /Telegraph/ ...
