MANILA, Philippines — Alas Pilipinas men avoided a winless campaign at home after fending off Myanmar, 25-21, 28-26, 25-22, to finish fifth in the SEA V Cup on Saturday at Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur. After pulling off a comeback in the first two sets, Alas caught fire in the third with holdover Louie Ramirez and newcomer Joshua Magalaman helping the Nationals mount a 15-10 spread.
