Following Ukrainian drone strikes on its biggest warehouse, Russian online retail giant Wildberries offers sellers discounts and loans, but no compensation for destroyed goods

After a Ukrainian attack, two Wildberries warehouses caught fire in the Moscow and Tambov regions.

The fire at the warehouse in Elektrostal has still not been extinguished.

It remains unknown how many goods burned along with the buildings or what losses sellers will face.

Wildberries said it will take about another month to calculate the damage.

Immediately after the strikes, Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim reminded sellers that, under the terms of its contract, the company has not been obligated to compensate them for lost goods since the start of July.

The marketplace, she said, is nevertheless “working on” the issue of payouts and other financial support measures.

On July 19, Wildberries and its partners announced their first such measures.
