Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, a Salmonella infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women. On April 29, 2026 the firm was notified by North Carolina Department of Agriculture that the product test positive for Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported to date. Products affected are: The products were distributed between March 1, 2025 – June 9, 2025. These products were packaged in plastic bottles and sold in retail stores located in the States of: MI & NC.
