President Trump nominated Lance Schroyer, a former Oklahoma state trooper and US Marine who currently advises DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, as director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. If confirmed by the Senate, Schroyer would become the agency's first Senate-confirmed director since 2017. David Venturella has been serving as acting director.
