Hong Kong issues red rainstorm warning, urges schools to ensure students’ safety

Hong Kong’s weather forecaster issued the red rainstorm warning on Monday morning as areas of “intense thundery showers” affect Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Observatory upgraded the amber rainstorm warning to red at 8.05am, less than an hour after the former was issued at 7.10am.
Authorities urged schools to implement contingency measures to ensure the safety of students.
