Phivolcs records 2 quakes off Balut Island in Sarangani early Saturday

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported two earthquakes that hit Balut Island, Sarangani at separate times early Saturday, July 18.

At 12:12 a.m, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake jolted 10 kilometers southwest of Balut Island.

It has a depth of 17 kilometers, according to Phivolcs.
