Magnitude 5.5 earthquake, aftershocks jolt Surigao del Sur

TANDAG CITY — A strong earthquake followed by a series of aftershocks struck off the coast near Bayabas, Surigao del Sur, shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday, May 25, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
