Nartatez: Divisive politics won’t sway cops amid Senate tensions

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen.

Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. maintained that his agency’s personnel will not be swayed by “divisive political interests” amid ongoing tensions in the Senate.

“Our only mandate is to preserve public order and enforce the rule of law,” Nartatez said in a statement on Monday.
