French police look to avoid burglaries in evacuated areas as firefighting continues

French firefighters are still battling major wildfires in the southwest of the country, that have already ravaged 42,000 hectares.

Thousands have been evacuated due to the fires, although some of them have been stabilised.

Authorities are also trying to prevent burglaries in evacuated areas.
